What Do Black Ants Eat?

  • Description

Like many of the ant species out there. The black ants are typically omnivores, which means they like plants and meat.

Black ants are semi-aggressive and will actually attack their own kind and eat them. I guess you can call them cannibalistic as well. Typically what will happen is as if a larger black carpenter and sees a smaller one will take advantage of the situation and attack and kill a smaller ant. This provides a nice hearty meal for him or her.

Other things that these black ants will eat are any other seeds, vegetables and edible products that they find when they are forging searching for foods or scouting for new locations to live.

We do not sell black ants typically since they are located throughout the world in abundance.
